I bought a 2010 prerunner. It has a lift spindle. I don't know the size of it. If it's a 4" or 3". If it's a 4" i would replace it. I don't want a 4" lift. If it's a 3" lift spindle i would keep. My question is, is there a way to measure the spindle to show what kind of left it is ?.
I looked at spindles hoping it would give me measurements or dimensions of the apart and no luck.

Maxtrac and camburg and knockoffs made 4" lift spindles. Usually made of cast iron.

CST made 3.5" fabricated lift spindles.

I dont know anyone that made a 3" lift spindle.

Take a photo of what you have.

If you like the way your truck looks and rides now, why does it matter whether it's a 3" or 4" lift spindle. The converse is true also, if you don't like who cares what the lift is. Take a pic of the spindle...should be easy to identify. Most lift spindles are 4" for our tacos.

I take a picture soon and post it. The reason why I'm asking is because I want to do a Bolt on LT kit in the future. I'll slowly get the parts together and i would like to know if a lift spindle would get in the way of that.
I thought 4" might be a problem if i do a rough country 3.5 lift kit for an example. Because right now i have a blisten 5100 coilovers which are 0-2.75 lift . I feel like I need to replace these coilovers.
    Maybe i don't ? Would a 2.75" coilover lift with 4" spindle work just fine ?
    Truck makes some noises sometimes.

Also does the brake lines look fine or kinda tight ?

Looks like a fabricated lift spindle but I cant identify it. I know its not a maxtrac nor a Maxtrac knockoff.

Could be the CST lift spindle.

If you want to go LT, you'll want to junk those 5100s. Keep the spindles and build the LT around it. Get proper LT coilovers and yes....extend your front brakelines. Those lines look like stainless steel lines that come with lift spindle kits.... but your line is pretty taut.

Your brake lines need too be replaced with long braided lines for sure.

I agree with @SUMOTNK. Keep the spindles (unless they don't work with the LT; like LSK). They lift spindle had the benefit of generating the lift without having to adjust your coilovers. That in turn allows for more down travel for the shock relative to having them jacked all the way up. Before I installed my lift spindles, my coilovers were jacked up far enough that when I would lift the truck with a jack, the wheels immediately came off of the ground (not my choice and didn't really understand it at the time). It makes for a really rough ride.

I looked up what company is LSK. Pretty sick looking LT kits but i don't think I will go with them. But i did look at camburg and Baja kits . You guys think that would work just fine ?

Yah. Camburg offers their own 4" spindle. So you should be fine. Whatever you go with, make sure you understand how the lower ball joint connects to the spindle.

Hey , what if my spindle is just from s brand that just focused on lifts. Like RC , ProComp 4" lift. Would those spindles be compatible with a LT suspension in mind?

What !?! Wow...I sold my regular cab Tundra because it had a 6" lift. I really wanted to do the LT on the tundra but thought It was going to be a lot of work to do the switch. Then i bought this regular cab Prerunner. Which is still a great truck about my tundra was 4x4 , sigh. But doesn't matter. Here in Arizona i don't really need the 4x4. Ive done trails that strong recommend 4x4 with a double cab prerunner that i sold as well.

Soon I'll get extended brake lines and still deciding if i buy RC 3.5 coilovers for now.

Because some lowers leave the uniball in tension and some are in compression. And each of those set ups requires a there own specially designed lower bracket.

I don't have LT but my LSK lowers use a beefier bracket similar to stock in principle (uniball in compression) and I also have the knock off maxtracs. Well that bracket didn't fit with the spindle. But it only required a small modification to the overall height.
