If any of you installed -18mm offset wheels, I would like to see them. I liked the look of the -6mm wheelstand; Flush to the fender flares, but the wheel liked; Black Rhino Arsenal Wheel, which only has a -18mm offset option.

Since most oem stock wheels for the 6-lug Taco are +30mm, going to -18 wheel takes it out 48 mm from stock or 1.89 in.

my 2014 Trd Off-road has -30mm and then I put FJ cruiser wheels that are -15mm, same rim width. They stick out 15mm more than before. It’s perfect. -18mm would be just about perfectly flush. The size of the wheel is 7.5” width. You’ll see all the Toyota truck wheels are interchangeable and in the -5mm to -35mm range.

OP, you need to list the wheel size and width along with the tire size you plan on running with this wheel.

@Wattapunk I don't know the tire size yet. I was going to 32" ish size; 275/70/17. Unfortunately, Pizza cutter tires won't fit into this wheel since it is too wide; The wheel size is
    17x9.5; -18mm Offset

For low psi applications such as offroading, 275/70's would work much better on an 8" wide wheel for bead and wheel protection.

@Wattapunk @parel @Taco'09 Thank you all! Have you guys seen/used/heard the counterfeit OEM-looking wheels from China? It seems to fit in my budget, but not sure about the quality of the wheels. TRD 17ich OEM wheels are a little expensive.

Most of the manufacturers for that size tire recommend a 7-8.5” wide wheel.

    you should consider Method
    because they
    -are less ugly
-come in more sizes for more tire sizes
    -have beadlock technology
    -are the same price
-have bigger air gaps for brake cooling
    -are probably lighter

Your stock wheels were +30, the FJ Cruiser Wheels are +15 and are probably about perfect. -18mm will stick out 33mm more than your FJ cruiser wheels or about 1.25" past flush.

This guy is correct. I was wrong. The positive offset value means the centre line of the wheel is inset from the centre line of the hub. The Toyota FJ Cruiser and Tacoma do have positive offset (15 and 30mm, respectively). This makes sense, since the rim is 7.5” wide.
