To anyone that has used this: can this be used as a stand alone product? Not a day goes by that I don’t wipe my car down with Adams Detail Spray but I am looking to get some UV protection and wax product in and this seems to be the tool for the job.

So can I use this spray on my truck and be fine using it every day? Or use this once in a while and use detail spray for the every day application?

Doesn't the Adams Detail Spray have wax in it?

grab some SONAX polymer - add it once and check it out for the next 6 months- nothing sticks to this stuff! (bugs, car wash soap) slips right off. Check out the reviews on youtube -- pressure washer doesn't hurt the stuff.

I went from the daily rub down to driving it !

I'm a big fan of McGuires Fast Finish as well. Seems similar. It doesn't last 6 months but it does last a few weeks. I still take a bit of quick detailer (primarily for the lube so I don't scratch when removing bits of dirt) and wipe the truck down every week or so but things don't stick to the truck with the fast finish on there

Everyone's got their favorites. Lately, I've been using McGuires Liquid Wax Ultimate. Easy on and off even in full sun although doing that is silly and I always pull into the garage. Seems to last ME about 5-6 months, but I do garage my truck and I'll hit it with a McGuires Quick Detailer and/or Quick wax now and again. Usually do the in between treatments on the hood and roof as they take the most abuse from direct sun and rain.

There are a ton of great products out there. I wish I had these when I was 21 or so when all we had was paste wax that took forever to apply and even longer to buff out and then only lasted a few washes.

I ended up cancelling my order with Amazon for the wax. Read some reviews where it wouldn’t come out easily and would stream horribly.

Does the McGuire’s ultimate wax leave any streaks? And does it need to be cool? My truck is out in the sun 0600-1600 everyday due to my work and doesn’t get shaded until about 1900 so it’s out in the sunshine most of the day and stays hot. I like to wipe it down right after work before I take off again so it would the surface would be mildly warm.

Read the product description & videos at McGuires website. It does not streak and has no abrasives. Very easy on and off. I can do my entire truck (after washing) in about 40 minutes and maybe 25-30 if I really get after it. It's nice that you don't have to be overly cautious around black plastic trim. I suppose there are tougher waxes out there, but none I've come across offer the ease of application with this level of protection.

Roger. I pulled the trigger on some liquid ultimate wax to actually wax it then I’ll follow up with the spray on or chemical guys V7 sealant.

A good option if you like Adams would be their H2O Guard & Gloss. I don't use it every day but I do use it every time I wash the truck (spray it lightly on a wet truck, wipe it in with one microfiber and finish buff with another) makes the paint seriously slick and makes washing the truck the next time around an absolute breeze.

So many products so many choices. Spend some time at Autogeeks or Autopia. Sometimes the less you touch your paint the less your going to induce some sort of marring.

Sonax--- Owned a detail shop for years and used every product and we only detailed very high end german & italian vehicles (from the wax they use on the queens rover) to everything in between. SONAX reins supreme!

Try it and you will be doing the shower stall glass too!

I use Fast Finish as well. It's been doing great so far. Easy application and seems to last quite a while for me.

So far this has been working very well for me. Very easy to apply with no streaking. Holding up well on my wife's SUV.
On my truck I have a combo of Cquartz UK Ceramic coating on the roof, hood, front and tail gate.
The rest I play with what ever. Currently Wolfgang Fuzion then maybe next week something else.
