Anyone know when the hybrids will hit lots? I saw a Reddit post that alluded to summer but it sounds like Toyota is still saying spring?

going in to productions and arriving on lots are 2 different things. If production starts in April like Toyota has announced then they will start hitting lot in the May/June timeframe. Keep in mind Toyota stated a December arrival for the ICE engine and it was not until mid/late January.

My dealer, where I just picked up the first 4G in the area, is telling me 6 months away.

I can say without a doubt it will be difficult to get one.

All hybrids are on waiting list, Tundras are starting to sit on dealers finally but thats simply due to massive price tags.

Based on what? The Tacoma hybrid isn’t even in production.

You literally quoted the basis of the statement.

We are seeing long waits for all hybrids. Tacoma hybrid is a hybrid.

It isn’t applicable to the Tacoma.

You just said it hasnt come out yet.

I'm saying hybrids are all back ordered. Very few dealers have proper inventories.

The largest dealer in the US has 2 Sequoia HV, 1 Highlander HV, Zero Sienna HV.

I'm not replying to anymore from you, I'm stating the now, of course its speculation but I'm saying hybrids and delays are the norm.

In Oregon, dealers have Tundra hybrid iFORCE MAX trucks sitting on the lot with discounts listed on the window. I wonder if the Tacoma will follow its big brother the Tundra.

During the first 2 years of Tundra HV they were so back ordered that the US was buying them from Canadian dealers. Covid and chip shortages were the main reason.

Toyota went through efforts to stop this, we had many disguised fake buyers take Hybrid trucks from us and ship them to the states immediately.

Just now we are seeing inventory catch up with Hybrid tundra but I think a lot of it has to do with the price tag vs what you get. They just dont make a lot of sense for the money.

Again we don't know, and its speculation, but this is my experience first hand. Not sure why its being received with such skepticism.

There are RAV4 Hybrids sitting on lots with discounts. Found several XSE loaded for $1,000-2,300 off MSRP.
Last I checked the RAV4 Hybrid is indeed a hybrid (I think that’s what the hybrid means in the model name at least).

They took years to get inventory as well. RAV4 is the largest selling vehicle for Toyota and they could barely keep up with hybrid demand.

Prius, Corolla cross hv, sienna, highlander hv, grand highlander hv sequoia, venza all difficult to buy.

Camry and Corolla sedan are starting to up tick finally.

Again I’m saying it’s going to be hard to get a hybrid Tacoma at first, it’s just taking Toyota forever to get these allocations going.

I totally agree. I am happy to see Tundras pile up on dealer lots with big discounts near me. This tells me we are shifting toward a buyer’s market.
I totally agree with this too. I am happy to wait and see what Tacoma inventory and discounts look like when all the excitement dies down.
