I recently changed the blower motor plug as the previous owner had cut it off and just pushed 2 butt connectors in the socket. Now it seems there isn't as much air flow coming out of the vents but the blower motor still sounds normal. IDk if me changing the plug has anything to do with or not but im pretty sure thats when it started. it still works on all positions but even on high it isn't blowing hard enough to be felt more than 8 or 10 inches form the vents.

Anyone have any ideas as to what it could be?

Have you checked the Cabin Filter?
It’s hard to say with out knowing what the previous owner did?

It maybe a resistor problem if it isn’t wired correctly?

Or maybe the Mode Control Servo?

Are you sure you didn't reverse the wires when you changed the plug, if the motor is running backwards it won't blow much air.

:annoyed: How did i not think about that, looking back I got pissed because i was in a hurry and trying to solder the leads in and had to get 3 different soldering irons before I found one with a good tip. I bet that is exactly what happened. I been racking my brain for a month thinking i was about to tear the dash apart to find a clog in the piping.

Thanks guys. Im about to run out and check the connector.

So the connector i bought has a red wire in 1 and a brown in 2. The truck side wires are back/yellow and a Light brown or tan color. I wired it up with black/yellow to the 1 position and brown to the 2 position. Im going to depin the connector and swap the wires.

Black & Yellow is Power wire. (With ignition On)
If ignition is off, it will be grounded.

    White & Blue is Ground

Almost exactly the same thing with my truck except my wife getting comfortable on a road trip most likely beat up my blower motor connection. Thanks for the tips guys.

just remove it and see if that helps. those hepa filter cabin filters really reduce airflow.
