Folks i am a proud owner of a 2007 Tacoma 4.0L Double Cab PreRunner (327k Miles) and recently the following has happened
    1. A.C doesn't blow cold
    2. Heater doesn't blow hot
    3. The air definitely comes through the system (but at whatever the outside temperature is.) so the fan works well.

I took it to a local place to get a diagnosis and fix and the guy said this on the report
"HVAC DOOR ACTUATOR - Remove & Replace - Air Mix" and suggested the following part

    Part Number: 87106-04060
Part Description: ACTUATOR - Airmix Servo

and then proceeds to charge me and arm and a leg to fix this!!!!

I looked up the part and it was quiet cheap and i looked at a few online youtube videos and looks like a straight foward fix. I am no mechanic and just have done hands on replacements of airfilters, windsheild wipers etc.. :D

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMR1bfLfIrc&ab_channel=Speedracer2700

But when i look at the diagram here https://parts.toyota.com/images/parts/toyotaOEM/fullsize/a1_87C379.jpg(and also in the youtube video at about 1 minute 26 seconds you will notice there are 2 of those) there are 3 listed on there with part numbers 87016H , 87016J, 87016V.

i also found this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/where-is-blend-door-actuator-located.667213/

How do i know which one needs replacing ? Any help from y'all will be greatly appreciated folks !

    Thanks

@Dm93 so i think i understand this part from the post that you sent where i see the pics of the 2 actuators
    1. One is to do with the Mode --> Defrost, Panel, Floor
    2. the other one is to do with the temperature -> hot or cold.
    3. Presuming the 3rd is for the outside air or recirculate inside air.
... would that be correct? and also do you think for my problem is the blend actuator for the tempature?

Correct, if you have a temperature control problem you would want to be looking at the temperature door actuator.
Did you verify actuator movement and also see if the suction line is cold with the A/C on as I outlined in that post?

    I’d start here.
Mostly because it’s easy to look at and see if it’s moving?

    @Dm93

    you are correct
    1. I checked the air-mix servo and it was NOT moving
    2. I ran a test to check and see if the changing the modes would move the other actuator and it did
    3. Also the AC-Line as i have attached a pic to this post was not cold when i had the engine running and the AC on full intensity.

So it seems you have 2 problems, the blend door not moving and a problem with the refrigeration system.
    Does the compressor come on?
Does the A/C light come on and not flash?

How did you remove the duct to get to the servo? I can't get mine to budge. Only the near cover cones off.

Finally got the duct off. After popping the clip at the top, the right would swing free. The left would not come loose. With the front side of the duct off, I was able to grab the left side with a pair of pliers and one good tug.
I closed the blend door by hand and I have heat until the new servo arrives. I'll post pictures later.
