Just got my husky x-acts floor liners on the passenger side they give you a plastic screw what do you do with it. the mat doesn't have a hole in it to screw it threw so is this an anchor how does it work.

I just put the plastic screw away as I don't see that it actually connects to the mat - my mats haven't moved since I got them - unlike the Toyota ones.

i put the screw in the mat, aligned it where i wanted, and pushed hard enough to leave an indent. then i took an awl, punched a hole in the carpet, and screwed in the retainer.

edit: my passenger X-Act Fit had a hole in it where the screw attaches. strange that everyone else's doesn't.

    I haven't bought one yet.

I was going to get the husky x-act because I had it on my older tacoma and they were very high quality and heavy. They had holes that fit perfectly. But reading this thread & some mentioned there is no hole. That made me reconsider getting the weathertech instead.

I've got a 2016 Access Cab - Sport with a Manual Transmission. For some odd reason Weather Tech does not sell a set of FRONT floor liners for it. Today I received a strange email from them and no direct answer as to whether they will or won't make them. I've had the truck since last December and am tired of waiting. Any reason not to buy Husky? Do they make a model that will fit the Manual tranny in my truck? Clay in Auburn, Wa.

There is an indent on the passenger mat that snaps into the head of the screw. Snap it in, push it into the carpet enough to make a hole. Pull the screw out of the mat then screw it into the carpet. Lay the mat back down on top of the screw and snap it back into the indent.

They have all the holes that oem mats have. That is, two in the driver side. Additionally, husky has a carpet screw to help hold the passenger mat in place.

The husky is great I'm not using the plastic screw no reason to it fits perfect and does not move. The husky is much better then the weathertech its rubber not plastic and they fit perfect glad I purchased them.

Thanks I'm going to go without it I don't want to put a screw in the carpet and the liner does not move anyway so I don't see the need for it.

I have the Husky Weather Beaters and my passenger side mat stays in place just fine without something holding it in place.

+1. I have the Husky WB and never had either side move an inch. Driver side is held down by the factory clips and the passenger side has no additional securing. Honestly, the spikes on the back of the WB and the fitment hold it in place very well with no movement. I was really torn between the WeatheTech's and Husky's but I found that the Huskys seem to have a better fit and hold better over time. Very happy with my purchase

It don't apply to Truxedo Lo Pro QT tonneau cover's either. Guess I dicker with a few of the online stores this week and see if I can buy 1 for under $400. Banker wanted to loan me as much as I want but I told her $1,000 is enough. She gave me a interest rate of 2.3% if I want to upgrade to a 2017 Inferno TRD Sport 2WD. I'm fighting that urge off real hard!!!

I got the guy on AutoAnything on the chat feature. They have the TruXedo Lo Pro QT rebated by 10% but I asked for low dollar on the tonneau right now. He posted $395.21 and I posted, "Sold, Sold, Sold!"

Looking forward to putting it on my truck next week.
