Apparently a bolt broke when I took my truck to either the dealer (1/31/19) or Tire Discounters (2/5/19) and the idiot that broke the bolt decided to epoxy it into the plastic cover and not tell me.

I found it when i was doing maintenance on my shocks (checking bolt torques). Not sure why the bolt just sheared like that to begin with. The plastic isn't cracked at all so it wasn't over-tightened, but epoxying that bolt in completely ruined the cover.

I also need to figure out how to get the other end of the bolt out of the wheel. Wheels were purchased in Oct 2018. Any ideas on addressing this and getting it fixed?

I don't see contact info on black rhino's website.

Remove the broken stud, gently re chase threads and be done with it.

    Edit
Touch up the plastic cover with some black flat paint if you must

Easyouts will get the bolt out. Drill slowly with the recommended bit and be firm but smooth and gentle with the easyout.

I'm assuming the bolt broke from being cross threaded, so it should be pretty tightly stuck in there.

I can try the easyout but it might need to handle some pretty high torque.

Getting the epoxied bolt out of the plastic cover is also going to be difficult. Hopefully drilling it out won't heat it enough to melt. Will need to go slow.

Still can't believe they did that to me.

I can't tell if the bolt in the wheel is cross threaded or not. With the long bore on the cover, the 'tech' had to work pretty hard to cross thread it. If so, drilling it out to the next size or a helicoil might be your best bet?

For the plastic cover, they probably didn't get a great bond. Gentle, increasing pressure with a tight fitting allen might break it free. Drilling it out, you'll need cutting oil to keep the plastic cool.
