    So, with my introduction last week to the 3rd gen world it seems I might as well make a build thread to keep track of progress. I never did this with my Tacoma and regretted it. It will be a semi slow/budget build up for mainly daily driving and some exploring. Starting off with such a clean rig is nice, no dents or major scratches makes me want to keep it nice. Picked her up on Jan 4th, from Weatherford TX. 2 owner, 188k miles.

    Bilstein 5100 rear shocks
    OEM 99 rear coils with 1.5” spacer
    Bilstein 5100 front struts
    OEM 99 front coils on 2nd notch
    AVS vent visors
    Kenwood digital media receiver
    Paranoid Fab 6 switch plate
    Removed factory running boards
    Installed OEM mud flaps up front
    OEM Front rotors and ceramic pads
    265/75r16 Ridge Grapplers
    16x8 SCS F5
    OEM LBJ
    OEM steering rack guide (fixed the wobble)
    Prinsu full length rack

    As of 4.20.20
    The rig is currently getting rear drawers built by @lilred95, will be wicked nice! When she’s home I’ve got a lot to do! Parts are piling up!

    $161 Midland MXT275 MicroMobile® GMRS Radio – 15 watts Two-Way Radio with Integrated Control Microphone – Overland Caravanning Tractors – Detachable External Magnetic Mount Antenna - 8 Repeater Channels
    Midland MXT275, used a magnetic ball thingy for the mic for a clean and out of the way look. Can tuck it under the seat when not in use.

    Yeah they have that vintage look but are still pretty nice! Bulletproof drivetrain, and so far I’m at 16.5mpg in town. Tough to find a clean one though, I lucked out. I was dead set on a GX470 like @lilred95 but honestly I like the 4runners size better, and they are roughly half the cost.

    Well look what rolled in today... only 2 of them but I can say they are totally worth the wait! The other two are due tomorrow, just want to thank Vin at @SCSPerformance for getting me taken care of! These wheels have me blown away with the deep bronze color that almost shifts as you’re looking at it and the superb quality! I waffled back and forth about wheels and different vendors and I must say, this was the right choice 100%.
