HPS Intake tube - anyone running this?

considering buying this and running a drop in filter. Can’t seem to find any threads on it ??

Yeah. Seems like just a bunch of noise in the mid range. No noticeable difference..

Yeah you don’t see any real benefits until you add more fuel, a larger 76mm throttle body and remove the cats.

Most intake performance gain is unmeasurable since any hp gain is no more than the 2-3% dyno run variance.

Meaning, there’s no performance gain.

I bought it because I wanted one piece of rice.



And it met the goal of one piece of rice. I have no illusions of this being a power maker, because I know that's bullshit. My butt Dyno even knows it's bullshit.... LMAO.

correct. this motor can and will respond to the right work but this isn't it on its own. this will to nothing but a little sound.

 

Yeah it is just modified to fit the larger TRD CAI lid.

I was thinking about getting one.

 

I have one, but bore no illusions that it would add any horsepower. I just did it to match their cooling hoses. Add a little egg, peas, carrots, shrimp and I have fried rice.

 

I just wanted to be rid of the accordion hose and attached box.
