I had a 4x4 v6 2022 super white that paint was already coming off behind the rear double cab windows and a blown headgasket at 10k miles. I sold it to carvana for more than I paid and I was looking at other trucks and STILL even with these issues I got another tacoma(black this time) because the ranger and colorado/canyon have so many MORE problems. Hows your 3rd gen been? any issues once the warranty expired? Reliable?

I put 125k on my 2017 and didn’t need anything other than fluid changes and tires. My dad has it now and it’s up to about 140k

Mine is a 22’ and I had two recalls done. Rear diff housing gasket and leaking rear coolant engine bypass tube. Both give me anxiety for the future.

75K on my '16 and have only had the front diff replaced @50K due to a noise. Other than that, normal maintenance. Oh had the radio replaced at 10k for a reboot issue.

35k on my 2018 bought new. Tuned in 2021.

    Just fluids and tire rotations.

Completed the fuel pump recall, but never had a problem.

my 2.7 has been very reliable if you don't count all the rattles and wind noise.

    Recalls done, otherwise zero issues!
Original battery is still strong. Replaced wiper blades a couple months ago even though they were not too bad.

What's with all these car magazines giving the reliability of 3rd gen Tacoma average or slightly above? Not overall scores. Reliability. Where did they get that from. Jd power only has it at 3.5

2018 with 75k..aside from one paint repair under warranty (yes, it is white) around read door sill and one out of my pocket on drivers door (out of warranty), all good mechanically. My 2000 was good for 225k, so hopeful this one will get near 200k at least.
