So I ordered a are overland truck cap for my bed. And it’s coming in a couple weeks. And I know these beds leak like crazy so I’m trying to do some hw and seal the bed.

As you can see, I did the upper corner of the bed and I took the 2 rail caps off and siliconed that underneath. I’m wanting to know how I seal right under the bed on the corners in the back as pictured. And eveyehere else I need to do? I also put a tail gate seal on the sides of the tailgate so that should help. But if there are any videos or any advice of any other places I should try to seal on the bed please let me know. Thanks guys

    Thanks @perkj

Did you use another piece of tape or other material after the side cap was back on? Or is that just one piece of tape?

Also, any issues with drying or cracking over time of the putty tape? I’ve used butyl tape in the past as it doesn’t tend to dry or crack, but maybe the putty is doing the trick?

Thanks again, good solution for those gaps either way.
