I'm trying to remove the steering wheel on my 2005 Tacoma. I have the wheel loose but I can't figure out how to disconnect the airbag electrical connectors. There is no obvious lock release on either end of the wire that goes from the airbag to the wheel.

FYI, my current steering wheel is in terrible shape on one side due to the leather coming off and the plastic underneath disintegrating. I got an excellent new wheel off an '07 in a junkyard.

the little black wire pull off, the 2 yellow connectors have a orange tab, lift the orange tab...But before to start to disconnect anything disconnect the battery and let it see a few minutes to drain the resistors of stored power.

Thanks for the advice. I got the wires off. They come loose right at the airbag. I pried up the little yellow hexagon shaped pieces about 1/8". Then I pried up the electrical connector. Yay, I have a new steering wheel!
