During the 20% off sale I bought a TRD Oil Cap and TRD radiator cap. (Need 0/10, Personal happiness 10/10)

I can't get the radiator cap off of the radiator (not the overflow tank). I can turn the cap and the parts that hook onto the neck seem to be in the correct slots to pull off, but I can't get the cap to come off.

    Any trick I am missing?

On a somewhat related note - I did receive my skid this TRD evening from Franklin...seems the 20% thread got removed.

Since no one is being helpful, push down and twist until it stops (lock tabs are lined up) then wiggle / twist as u pull up. Sometimes the tabs get bound up on the plastic.

IIRC it was tight-fitting when I removed my OEM cap and installed the TRD version.

Just be sure the truck is cold-ish when doing this.

Safety first. And easier when system is not pressurized.

Funny responses. Only try to remove when cold. Try tapping the cap with the handle of a screwdriver. Then push down and turn. A small piece of sandpaper will give you extra grip

    Thanks, that worked.

Now that it done, keep the shit talking going. I get its a lame question but I appreciate the correct answer first.

Last couple of cars have only had the overflow tank.

As we say in Texas, How many Aggies (Texas A&M Students) does it take to remove a radiator cap? It takes 21. One to hold the radiator cap and 20 to pick up the vehicle and turn it.

I swear your posts even sound like Cosmo Kramer! lol

Bonus comment- I bet more than a couple posting or reading this thread have never removed a radiator cap and are thankful to have learned something before they tried lol.
