I am trying to avoid screwing up my new truck by unessarily breaking a plastic tab. I've found the two bolts at the bottom of the console cubby, but can't seem to find the best way of removing the rear part of the center console. I plan to mount the power unit for a Cobra CB under the console and wire up 12v to the power outlet within the console. Has anyone braved this job? Any help will be appreciated.

    Any takers on this post?
I want to remove the rear console and add two 12V power outlets.

Aside from those two bolts in the armrest cubby, the rest of it is clips. If you plan on removing the entire center console, you will need to remove the shift knob, then pull upwards near the front cup holders. I wish I could be more help and provide photos, but that is all I got right now.

    Thanks for answering...
Depending on where the 12V outlet inside the armrest cubby connects, I hope I only have to remove the back section of the console. I plan to jumper from the 12V outlet inside the armrest cubby to the back of the console and add on two outlets if there is room.
