I'm having issues lifting my truck all four sides for a tire rotation. I am using the bottle jack that came with the truck to lift from the recommended area on the cross members but it leaves me little room to get the jack stands under the truck as well. Any ideas on how to get the truck up on all 4 sides without killing myself?

Don't do all 4 corners at once. Also invest in a nice floor jack. For years I screwed with the bottle jack. Fuck that. Harbor freight has good deals on them.

    Are u lifted?

I have to use a block on the top of the floorjack for the tires to come off the ground. So grab some stray lumber just in case. Also needed to buy some 6 ton jack stands from kragens.... I believe they are ac delco branded and are blue and silver. The other standard stands I have won't touch the frame rails even fully extended. Harbor freight does sell some decent stuff tho, and the price is right.

    YMMV.

I highly recommend getting a good hydraulic jack!!!!! Harbor Freight jacks are OK.... FYI - I had a little blue Harbor Freight jack that failed on me and I had to return it for another one.

Personally, I'm not sure I would trust the OEM bottle jack unless you use jackstands. Block of wood can help you get it high enough. I have a Craftsman that I use on the truck.

#1: Lift the rear end (under diff) high enough to take tires off. Put jack stands under each side (spring plates). Remove jack & rear end is lifted.

#2: Lift drivers side (under frame) high enough to get wheels off the ground. Swap wheels front to back.

#3: Do the same for the passenger side.

#4: Drop rear end. Torque lug nuts appropriately.

Thanks very much. I started on the front end first I should have started on the back end got the truck up on jack stands then did the front. When I did the front first it seemed unstable. I'm trying to figure out a way to rotate my tires myself instead of having to pay. Thanks for your help!!

You can lift the entire front end by putting a floor jack under that bump in the center of the truck. Then as other said, jackstands under the frame rails.
This is the best way to rotate tires tho, Sliders and hi lift :D

For a long time, I used to use my spare. Just put it in place of the first one, and then start swapping them. When you are done, you have also made sure you're spare is good.

I ended up using two stands and a jack.

Put stands under the front end and then jacks rears separately.

Probably a better way but I found out my other two stands were not tall enough.

    Took about 45 min.
