Ok so you did the djm up front did you flip the ball joint as suggested in the kit? If you did then to really get it where you want it I the front I would suggest doing the coil over setup. For the rear you can get lower with blocks but without a notch if you carry any weight the diff will tend to hit the frame

I see. Any specific coil overs you recommend for my type of kit?

For an inch in the front that would be kinda hard with the current setup. A ball joint flip is 3" roughly. Drop springs on a 4cly extra cab is about 2.5". You could do the QA1 setup and that will get you 4" and be a great ride. For the back i would try and find a pair of 98-04 4x4 leafs and do the sdad mod. This will net you 3" and ride great. Add a 2" block and you'll be good with the right shocks for out back. If you do lower the back you will need a step notch. Also look into low pro bumps stops for the front and rear to help the ride quality.

Because the wheels take up so much space under the hood that there's no room for the A/C lines; Oftentimes, there's also not enough space for the A/C compressor either, and some people put an air compressor for the suspension system in place of the A/C compressor.

I wish we saw more Tacomas like this. Its true that most of these guys are into 4 wheel drive and getting them higher not lower but its still a Tacoma weither its scrapping the pavement or you needing a ladder to get inside. I enjoyed reading these posts because this guy is doing something different with his truck. He got it right with what he is doing.
