I inadvertently scratched my dash while installing new seat covers - I unbolted the seats to get under them and they rubbed the dash as I was tilting them back. Any ideas on how to repair the scratches

There was just a thread on scratches on interior (door panel) I have tried many ways. There really is no way to repair. You can hide it a bit, but you will still see/notice it, beside replacement. A little heat, or dressing will hide it a bit. Be careful if you try heat gun.

Looks like it's 95% on your glove box door? I would just order a new one, if that is the case.

Depending on how deep your scratches are. If it's a light scratche, use heat gun carefully. It will clean the scratches off clean.
If it's a deep scratch. You have three options
    1. Heat gun to melt it down and flat it, but it will look like shit. People would think your truck has small pox.
    2. Buy a new part.
    3. Live with it ( my suggestion).

You can Try a heat gun and it will help.
But why not get a new glove box or one from a salvage yard ?
Then you’ll be left with that small mark that the heat gun van help

You didn’t scratch your dash, you scratched your glove box. Couple of screws holding it in place. Watch on YouTube “3rd Gen tacoma 2lo mod” to learn how to remove it by watching video. Next step go to a “pick a part” with a wrecked tacoma. It’ll cost a couple bills. But shouldn’t be too bad.

I dont think you can get them off without seeing the difference in the texture .a heat gun will work on light scratches....but i have a softer white trim tool that i rub on the scratch till there less noticeable...
