    Thanks for the help!

I have searched the online manual and Tacoma World. No luck.

Does anyone Know how to get FM stations to show the artists title and name of the song being played?

If I insert a cd disc or USB flash drive, the title track and artist will be displayed. BUT I cant get the FM stations to do this. On long trips my kids like to guess who the artist is and it keeps them occupied.

    Thanks

It depends on the station you are listening to I believe. If they make it available.

Thanks, I tried 10 different stations and got no results, and then tried 5 of the stations on my wife's 2012 Toyota Rav 4. Her's shows the FM titles and artists but my 2017 taco wont. Both have stock radios.

It's in the settings on the head unit.... should be set for HD radio and there is a setting to display title and artist.

Correct. If the FM station you're listening to supports RDS or HD Radio, your screen will automatically show the data.

Alternatively, you could try Shazam or SoundHound, are both free smartphone apps that listen to the music playing and tell you artist and song title and more.

Yeah, just to echo what others have said - it's all about whether or not the station broadcasts in HD.
My favorite local radio station has an HD1 or an HD2 designation that gets displayed on my screen, and when I'm out of range of the HD I can still listen, but the reception is crappy and I lose the onscreen artist/song data.

I negotiated a $100 a year deal with XM radio...gotta hold their feet to the fire. It always displays titles and pictures, especially on Willy's station!

Tap the "audio" button then hit "options" at the top of the screen. Then select "hd"

Next. Click "apps" then "setup" then "audio"
    Check "display cover art" box.

Not to derail but I am about to run out of my XM trial--I've had it several times before, once for 2 years, but after awhile it loses its luster and I just stream from my phone.

FWIW like others I am not thrilled with the audiophile quality of the non-JBL Entune system. For most music it's OK, for some music it's tolerable, but for some especially XM it's annoying to the point I turn it off or turn to NPR talk shows.

My main beef is that I think the sound quality with XM is much poorer than radio or streaming due to compression. Is that just my imagination?
