How to change oil on a 2024 Toyota Tacoma with the 2.4L turbocharged 4 cylinder motor. If it's a 4x4 you don't have to raise the truck off the ground.

• -OEM Toyota oil filter: 90915-YZZN1
• -OEM Toyota drain plug gasket
• -Drain plug torque spec: 30 ft.-bs. (I just go by feel)
• -Engine oil: Mobil1 full synthetic Ow-20 (6.5 quarts)

Tools:

• -14mm 3/8" drive socket
• -3/8" drive ratchet
• -12mm 3/8" drive socket
• -Claw style oil filter wrench
• -Oil drain pan
• -Brakleen
• - Rags
• -Nitrile gloves
• - Shop light
• -Funnel
• -Creeper
• -Optional: Milwaukee 3/8" Impact driver

 

It's so much easier than the stupid 3rd gen. Tundra was a big improvement as well for service simplicity.
