Recently got my vehicle wrapped (KPMF Blue-Black Iridescent) and I was wondering if anyone has any experience/advice with care for a wrap. What I've learnt so far is to wash with a pH neutral soap like Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo and Conditioner. However for the wax or polish I'm getting varying degrees of feedback. Some sites say use anything that you would for normal paint, while others say to use something more specific like Meguiars Ultimate Finish or Chemical Guys Vinyl Wrap detailer. I was advised not to use any of the ceramic coating products like HydroCharge from Chemical Guys. What have you used and how did it turn out?

IMO. I’d only use products made for vinyl wraps.

    Subbed to see others' input...

I only wrapped the hood scoop & middle third of the hood, to be honest I will be shocked if I can get the full 5 years 3M rates/guarantees the wrap for out of it. Mainly due to the summer sun and how many bugs I tend to find just driving.

I haven't considered maintaining the wrap in the "long term" sense as I plan on getting it done 2x a decade... (at $100 per go round that ain't too bad.)

Check out Carpro's vinyl coating called Skin. I've not used it but they're who I would go with if I paid the money for a wrap.

Some wax will whiten on vinyl or discolor and stain it.

Wash it with a gentle detergent (I like Optimum No Rinse and use it for the whole truck) and then follow up with a wipe down using a applicator pad soaked in 303 aerospace protectant gives the vinyl some UV resistance.
