I'm genuinely going to go crazy lol. I bought carbon wrap for my mirrors because I don't want to pay $165 for carbon mirror caps and thought it'd be a nice touch. Long story short I can't for the life of me figure out how to wrap the mirror on the 3rd Gen. Countless videos I still cannot get it no matter what techniques I try. The 3rd Gen mirror has some weird ass angles that make it a challenge like shown in the photos below. If anybody has any suggestions please let me know, I've added some pictures on the parts that mess me up towards the outside of the mirror cap, no matter which way I try and how much heat I use I seem to get this weird seam that'll create a crease that I don't want. Cheers!

Trial, error, and a ton of patience. I'd start by taking the painted cap off and working on it at the comfort of your workbench. Then start with one face, smooth it, and when you're happy with that section work your way over the crease. Tuck and trim when you're done, then reinstall the cap.

No money, all went to truck...
Hahaha, I had the same reaction when wrapping headlights with clear vinyl. Try check out YouTube. lots of stretching and even heat gun helps. I'm by far from knowing how to do this but I was in the same boat...

Heat with blow dryer to make it a bit soft, stretch but not too much to deform it and make the lines all wavy, pull it tight, square it up, and

I think I ran out of patience and used too much heat in some places and no enough in the other, going to go for round 2 when I build up the patience and time! Thanks for the input

Just get more wrap and keep failing. Keep practicing. It’s like anything, there’s tricks, u just need to do it enough to learn the tricks. There’s not some magic pill or technique that will fix it all. Just gotta put the time in

Honestly just don't even bother. I went through the same phase you are in, only black multicam. Wrapped various parts of the truck, including the bottoms of the mirrors. You'll eventually figure out it looks tacky and pull it off anyways. Save yourself some grief

Clean the mirrors well, especially the parts that wrap around the edges or it wont stick. I found this video to be very helpful before I did mine. I just used a hair dryer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ua730hMOm5M

i tried to wrap some of the interior panels

i spent more on going through wraps trying to get it right than it would have cost to buy new panels and paint them

With the mirror pc. Start at the top angled surface. You can pull down and slightly stretch the film, down and away. But you can't pull it up from the front face, and shrink it to cover the top. Be careful with the heat on carbon film. You can over heat it and over stretch it. Then you will be able to see where you made a mistake. Patterned films are the hardest to work with because of this.

Take a spray bottle and add just a few drops of soap to it. Doesn't need any more than a few drops to make the surface slick. This way you can slide the film over the surface, and peel it back up when something goes wrong. Just remember that when you squeegee the water out from under the film, it is going to stick!

    Hope these tips help some.
