How should I apply my TRD decals?

Today I should receive a set of custom TRD decals from CBoy808 . If you don’t already know, they are custom made by him in Hawaii for an awesome price. The design he drew me up looks perfect and I can’t wait to see them in person. He was super easy to work with and they were made and shipped within 2 days. I’ll post pictures when I have them installed. I have two questions. 1) How should I remove the old TRD decals? Is it as simple as using a hair dryer/heat gun and peeling them off? I don’t want to damage my paint of course. This is a 2002 if that makes a difference as far as the age of the current decals goes. 2) How should I apply the new decals? It seems like a wet application is what most people on YouTube recommend. The process seems odd, like getting the adhesive wet would either ruin it, or not completely dry but I guess that isn’t the case. It doesn’t seem like it should be too difficult though. Apparently it’s much easier than a dry application. I’m just looking for advice from people who have experience doing this themselves. Thanks!

Yup heat em up and peel em off, and use some Goo Gone if you want. DO NOT USE GOOF OFF IT CAN TAKE THE CLEARCOAT OFF. He includes some application directions I believe, but yes a I figured out where exactly I wanted it, placed it on making sure it is flat. Then after it is applied I get some water and wet the backing good as when it peels off it will detach itself without pulling on the decal making it so you get no bubbles. Voila and done, then post some pics

Here they are. Should I spray the truck and adhesive side of the vinyl and squeegee the water out from underneath? That’s how I’ve seen it done on YouTube but all of those decals had a more opaque backing whereas these have a transparent backing.

It seems like it would be easy to apply them dry actually

Apply dry. then wet the backing before you peel it off, which will make it so get no bubbles
