So I read that your should change your differential fluid every 30 to 60k miles. How often do you change yours.

I changed mine at 165,000. It was still good, but I thought I'd be proactive.

Depends on what I do. If I run it hard, every 30,000 miles. But I have a limited slip diff. So, you should be good for 50,000+ easy running it hard. To work and home, 100,000 miles.

Man, you have an 07, you have LSD, you should change more often, $30-$40 in oil every few years is cheap insurance in my opinion :)

Proactive? I mean, that seems like a lot of miles when it is suggested between 30 and 60k.

OP, you have a 2015 Off-Road Ed. ? Correct? It has no limited slip only E-Lock. So unless you do heavy off roading using the E-Locker ALOT, you are well good for the recommended change intervals if not more. I wouldn't stress about it bro :) If your worried, it takes all of 20 mins and $30-$40 in oil on a Saturday after work to change the oil per diff. :)

I don't know if this is a typo or sarcasm, but either way, I got a laugh out of it.

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I realize now I should’ve done the first change at maybe 5000 miles but I changed it over to synthetic around 30,000. A lot of junk floating around in there

I try for 30k, but it’s usually closer to 45-55k. Everything else I’m careful about changing regularly.

Yes, I have a 2015 off road. No lsd. I have 67k on it now and not sure if it had been changed or not. Guess I better do it.

I'd like to know how people know their oil is "still good". Gear oil doesn't turn black from carbon contamination like engine oil. Unless your gears are eating themselves, the oil will look fine when it is shot. If the gears are eating themselves, well, you went too far. Gear oil dies from heat and shearing forces that destroy the oils ability to maintain a protective film. 30,000 miles is a good general interval. 165,000 is ignorance on parade.

I would do it sooner than later. I had 22k on mine when i did, same year and model. It wasnt the worst, but glad i did it. If for nothing else, i always follow the change intervals on the first time through, if not earlier, to make sure everything was filled correctly from the factory and to see if there are any early warning signs. If everything looks good, i extend the interval from there.

Mobil 1 75-90 will do ya

I did mine at around 120k, I bought the truck around 112k, so no idea what kind if maintenance it had before so decided to go the full nine on it. I’ll probably do another change at 200k and send a sample into Black Stone Labs to get their recommendation on intervals and check up on diff health.

I used to do every 30,000 miles, fluid came out clean. Now I do it every 50,000 miles, still comes out relatively clean...I don’t tow or off road much.
