I have to get my leaf springs replaced

The dealership and mechanic say $2100 just for parts without labour. Is it meant to cost this much as I was expecting much less than that?

You can get a custom set for a fraction of that. Or even newish take offs for even less.

That's the "I have a boat payment AND a plane payment coming up'' price.

That quote is nearly my entire suspension system upgrade cost.
    That's a hard NO.
Depending on what leaf pack you are looking for, you can get much better aftermarket than OEM.

Yeah they're tryna scam you. I paid 2500 for my suspension setup, new set of tires, AND the installation

You might also want to run your vin. My 2005 had a recall for the leafs and they swapped them out for free

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
List price from Toyota Yes I can understand that quote. Just the list price from the dealer not a scam just a fact of life.

Check out General Spring of Kansas City.

3rd gen take offs will fit your second gen. They can be had for $100 usually. If you have the older 2nd gen then they will also provide 1" of lift or about 22" from center of hub to fender at stock weight.

Why? Not saying you don't, just knowing why could be helpful

Problem #1. Not your source for easily obtainable retail parts

    As well you should.

I have a set of take-offs from my 2021 with 800 miles on them that I'd sell you for $100 + shipping if you want em (probably ~$100ish to ship to Cali). $2500 is insane. Can even include the shackles and BNIB u-bolts for a little more. They're relatively easy to swap yourself as well if you have a jack and some basic tools.

2100 just for leafs is robbery… I would check your local marketplace like Craigslist, offer up etc. for some used 3rd Gen leafs. Sharing what state your from might help with finding someone local on here.

What's your location? Local buy/sell/trade threads in here often have like new take-offs for super cheap (free to $100). Then you'd just need to order up a set of new U-bolts. Those same groups/threads may even have people willing to help you install them for a case of beer. My buddy helped me swap them in his driveway. Was super easy, other than the fact my replacement leaf pack weighed 3x as much and i'm a weakling.

    Thanks, all sorted out
after calling a few dealerships one said they'd do it under recall

I was thinking of plan B to be buying it somewhere online for like $100, thankfully I don't even need to spend even that lol

    Thanks for trying to help
