How much more road noise should I expect from stock tires to BFG AT KO2's?

Considering swapping out the stock Toyo tires in my '16 TRS Sport to BF Goodrich T/A KO2's in 265/70/17 on the stock TRD Sport 4x4 wheels...just concerned that the BFG's will be noisy as I do drive on the freeway quite a bit. Any input from experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

They are pretty good.... I found them a bit (understandably) louder but certainly not hideous..

They are louder, but only just a little. I only really hear mine if I'm going though a neighborhood with the windows down. Definitely not bad compared to the aggressiveness of the tread.

I will say this, the stock Toyo Open Country (I think that's what's on there now, OEM) seem pretty darn quiet, but have nothing else to compare them to.

Not bad compared to the stock bridgestone duelers that came on mine. The feel is a bit stiffer and flexes much less in turns. Have them road force balanced at install. Make sure they are set around 35 psi also, and adjust to your liking from there. Mine are c load, e is not necessary and will ride too harsh.

I have the TRD Sport. So stock was some Firestone highway tires. They were real quiet. The KO2s I put on are no louder.

I went from Toyo Open Country A/T's P265/70/16 to 265/75/16E KO2's and have not noticed a difference in loudness. The KO2's are very quiet so far.

Well, I pulled the trigger on the KO2's and went up to 265/70/17 from the stock 265/65/17. Was sold when one of the techs who serviced my truck earlier said his dad had his for at least 70k miles on his Tacoma and they still had life in them. Then the guy at Discount/America's tire told me he has them on his truck and loves them, and assured me they are super quiet on the road...and he was right. Very quiet tire and they now do the truck justice and look great.

Those tires make the stock rims look waay better! Do you have OEM mud flaps? Hows the clearance?

When ever you're going to be on pavement, pressurize to the max (80psi?) I was able to turn my stereo down a notch because there was less noise. Yes, your center tread will wear a little faster but your fuel mileage & money saved will offset that cost.

Mine are pretty quiet too. When I got them, I had a bit of trouble getting one of them balanced and they had to swap it out for a new tire.

If you want the most quiet and uniform/balanced, you probably want to go with a Michelin highway tire, but that’s not cool.
