Be curious what they say. I'm sure they gave whoever traded it in only half what they are asking for it. Used Tacoma prices are nuts right now across the board ever since covid economy

I bought a Pyrite Mica DCLB Sport from Dolan's in Reno this summer (113K) for 21+Tax/fees. 31 seems awful high.

It seems crazy to me that people will pay 35,000 for a 2015 tacoma when you can pick up a brand new one for around $37k depending on options incentives and haggling... These tacomas are one of the only cars that people actually recommend buying new if you can afford it since they hold their value so damn well. Definitely a good selling point to a tacoma

For like.... $36k you can get what I got.... brand new, sr5 trim, double-cab long-bed. Shortbed would have been even cheaper. These trucks are one of the only vehicles it actually makes financial sense to buy new if you can afford to cause of how well they hold value

Cheapest sr5 at my local dealer. Plus tax and that’s for a short bed. I want long bed if I’m buying brand new.

Mine was $37,900 MSRP (Cement DCLB, plus black running board, mudguards, all-weather rubber floor mats, door sill protectors)
Then got $1000 off as toyota credit that all dealers should be running now.
Then they bought down the interest to 2% through non-toyota financing, so I could get low APR and their 1000 offer.

So, for $36k msrp you can get a brand new dclb at most dealers I think..... I didnt negotiate on the price any more than that.... probably should have though.

Also got talked into extended warranty and such too for another few thousand, but overall, if you can afford new, new is the way to go with these,.... they are only a few grand more and you get the full new warranty, know you arent getting something someone beat the crap out of, and can get better interest rates if financing

This was pretty much what mine was... they didnt charge me for bed cleats, and i had them swap the lock nuts out for regular lock nuts

1000 off 37.6 then bent over for a few extra thousand on the extended warranty. That’s funny. What’s even funnier is was people tell themselves to justify a 600-800 truck payment.

Yea isnt that great.... I fully agree. should have fought for a better deal. This is the first new car I ever bought.

Most of my previous cars until now were under $2000. With the exception of the last tacoma I had (2014 tacoma reg cab 2wd I paid cash for)

Payment is closer to $400 w/ cash down and trade but ya.... having a car payment for the first time.... not looking forward to it. But sometimes thats how she goes

She’s dirty in these pics. It’s a 2021, comes standard now with the convenience package, Toyota safety sense with radar cruise etc, apple car play, color matched bumpers and a grill that you won’t hate. If you enjoy modifying like most of us do, this is a fantastic economical option, you won’t be wasting money on take-off parts.

King shocks all around, Deaver stage 1 leafs, Total Chaos UCAs. The 4.88s and an Eaton E-locker are getting installed tomorrow. I love all tacos, but it doesn’t make sense to pay $30k for a 2015 when you can get this.

FWIW, I paid $25k for a 2015 TRD OR with 80k back in July 2020. Pandemic prices weren't quite as inflated but still crazy how they hold value. I specifically did not want 3rd Gen because my previous 2 vehicles had transmission issues and I'm not playing that game again. No, I don't care about anyone's opinion on the 3G trans and how flashing can fix it yadda yadda yadda. 4-liter and a hydro trans are proven to be pretty bulletproof and that was good enough for my needs.

nice! Yeah idk how I feel about the 3rd gen but if I can get a good deal on one brand new I might do it. Unless I find a good deal on a used one.

At the end of the day, your truck will last 400k miles so if you’re happy and keep it for a decade, that $25k will be insignificant.

Definitely don't let me dissuade you from a 3rd gen. If you can get a good deal and it fits your needs then go for it. Me personally? I can fix my own stuff and $25k used for a truck that should last me 250k is an easy decision. No way I can justify $40k for a new truck but again that's just me.

    This guy gets it.
