    Hey all!

I'm new to the forum and to Tacomas, but looking to buy. What do you all think this truck is worth? It's a 2013 TRD Off Road with 150k miles, MT, access cab, 6' bed with LEER cap.

    Listing

They're asking $22K at the dealer here in Bend, OR but obviously that's way too high.

Thanks in advance for your insights!

With the way things are with used prices, I wouldn't be one bit surprised if that sold quickly. Me personally, I'd say 18K.

It is worth what ever someone will pay. And like @gixxerphil said, in this market, I can see that truck selling quickly.

If you want it, you better move on it. It won't last long.

I paid $15,300 for my '06 TRD Sport with 105 kmiles in February 2020. It was the third truck. I missed the 1st, the 2nd sold the day after my test drive.

You maybe able to niggle down the price a bit, but don't be surprised if the dealer holds firm. Best to have cash in hand, so you can act quick.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable giving an estimate without first seeing the frame.
But 22k isn’t bad in this market today. That’s is with a good frame.

Might just be an old typo, but that VIN says it should be Silver Streak Mica(1E7), not super white

120,000 miles. 2012. Frame is immaculate.

Private party sales are the way to go.

Thanks everyone. I just got back from a test drive and have to say, I wasn't real happy with it. It was my first time driving a MT taco and it felt like it lacked pep and responsiveness. I've always found MTs fun to drive, but this felt like my dad's '79 f-150 (maybe worse) in terms of acceleration and throttle responsiveness. The Edmunds appraised value was around 15k for dealer, but this had some interior wear and lots of chipped paint. I couldn't imagine paying more than 15k for it personally. Maybe I'm not a taco fan? I've only driving one other taco and it was an '08 AT but don't really remember the experience.

Anyway, gonna pass on this one. Thanks again y'all.

    Good call. I certainly wouldn’t want to own a $22K truck I didn’t like.

My advice is, if you can -wait it out.
I wouldn’t buy any vehicle right now if I didn’t have to.

That's good advice. Think I might do just that.

All my friends who have one love it. I know they're hella reliable and great on rough terrain which is why I was drawn to them. Do you think this was an anomaly or are Tacomas known for being a little sluggish?

Tacoma pricing is insane now, so that may not be high for your area, but I paid 14K for an immaculate 2011 with 180K miles - not quite the same as yours but a whole lot less - and this was from the dealership. Like someone said, if you can do it - wait. It's a seller's market. But then I don't know what is supposed to happen to change that situation.

As for sluggish, I didn't read, but if it's a 4 cylinder then yes, it's sluggish. None of them are V8's, so don't go into it with that mindset. Whatever you do, don't buy a small utility truck and expect V8 Detroit performance. That way lies madness. Look for a Tundra if you really need power for heavy towing. That's your basic Tacoma performance - it'll get you there, though. People here chase their tales with tunes and turbos and it's funny and sad to watch.

That white Little Taco would be an absolute weapon on the trails with a full set of lockers!
