I thought they were 3400 lbs. mine weights 3800 with half tank of full and about 40 pounds in the bed and a 25 pound or so headache rack and small small box sub woofer. Had 31” x10.5 tires. Hopefully there is not 300 lbs in bondo on it4EDFEE2A-A197-4D94-8579-5AD46599E380.jpg8B26171A-EE9C-49BB-9026-CA75D2244CB5.jpg

I'm curious about this too. I've found widely varying curb weights reported for these first gens. Maybe 3400 is a dry weight with no fluids?

Even no fluids it’s still way off 3400. 16 gallons of fuel is only about 100 lbs and oil another 30 pounds or so

Probably +60 to 70lbs on the receiver hitch
If that scale rounds to the 000. Then you could have been 3751

The scale I go through at the dump displays in hundredths of a ton, so 20 lb increments, but I've never been through without a loaded bed.

Inside your door jam should be a couple of decals one with GVWR and another saying how much payload.
Mine is GVWR 5,600 and payload is 940.

    5,600 - 940 = 4,660 weight of vehicle.

I was just illustrating where he should be able to find the weight of his vehicle.

Per the manufacturing date on my label mine is a 2020.

English is a really difficult language to learn. I’m actually English and the difference between American and English is ridiculous, I get caught up frequently.

I weighed mine on a drive-on scale at a landscape material depot, and it's 4025lbs with an added topper.

Ya , the scale was at zero. I’d like to build a rear bumper soon for a fun project. Out of aluminum, not sure it would be any lighter since the stock rear bumper is very thin. About 16 gauge I’d say. I’d probably make most of it outa 1/8”. But I would also like an aluminum flat bed one day but the price of metal now days is ridiculous. I made one outa wood once on a 1980 Toyota 2wd. Out of 2x4’s

All the curb weights online seem to be underestimates. Anytime I see someone actually weigh their truck it’s at least 200 lbs over what’s reported on Edmunds and other sites.

4800 lbs last time I went to the dump. Front and rear bumpers, skid, sliders, winch, diy wedge camper, tools and parts. She’s a heavy gal.

Those payload stickers weren't mandated or used by Toyota during the span of 1st gens (95.5-04). Not sure the exact year they were required to include them but it was later than the 1st gen.

Camper (aluminum, on paper weighs 300lbs) is empty aside from two dogs. I plan to load it up with all the camping gear and weigh it again to see where we're at.
