The driver's side seat fabric in my truck needs to be replaced. To be clear, this is the part that you sit on, not the part that you lean back on.

How much should I expect to pay for the part(s)?

    Thanks.

The foam should not be that bad in price, you can do it your self to save some $$$$$$

    What about the fabric?

And does this job entail upholstering skills?

    Thanks.

Where are you located, it may be cheaper and easier to just buy a used seat, they’re out there.

I received a quote from my dealer for the same cushion due to a burn hole , part's alone for cover and pad and hooks were 800$ not counting labor, what a joke.

You can probably find an upholstery shop locally and get a quote. I don't remember the exact quote when I checked but it was more than I was willing to pay. You may well be able to find a whole seat from a scrap yard cheaper.

For the cushion itself, I'd go to the dealer. For the material, you can find stuff cheaper on eBay, although it's not OEM, https://www.ebay.com/itm/265240236044

You will also need a hog ring pliers and hog rings: https://www.amazon.com/WORKPRO-Ring...=1692443130&sprefix=hog+ring+,aps,140&sr=8-15

This is what I plan to do, my drivers side seat bottom is messed up.

You can also see if you can find a seat at the junkyard.

I used zip ties on a few sets I did, way easier than hog rings and they all held up and looked great.

Just did some work on mine also. Since I’m a tight ass, I unhooked the seat covers and slid some thin memory foam in places it needed it and also put in some on the upright part for lumbar support since mine doesn’t have that option. Looks factory and suits me for the time being.

i tried getting a quote from an auto upholstery shop for a different vehicle once... this was not a new guy... he didnt understand that the foam was more worn/compressed on 1 side (my dad used to sit on his wallet) and kept checking to see if the springs were broken. then he told me to go get the foam from the dealer and wouldn't estimate a price for
    me.

really? isn't it just hog rings to secure the cloth to the frame and the foam just sits on it?

i think he actually just didnt want the job. not worth his effort i guess

Do you any pictures of how the ebay seat cover turned out? I want to do the same thing on my drivers seat but Toyota wants too much for just the fabric cover.

I bought mine used...previous owner liked to ash his cigars in a crotch cup...and missed A LOT...
So they did the scrape and glue hole repair and that lasted about a year...now I just live with it...

I had no idea you could buy just the seat foam. My truck has had a seat cover since pretty much day one (that needs to be replaced) So the OEM seat fabric is awesome, but the foam has seen better days and constantly having to vacuum foam pieces that wear off on the underside.

Do you have the part num for the TRD seat base foam?
