How many of you actually remove the air dam from the front bumper?

I'm about to remove it but just curious what percentage of others have done this? Sorry if there is already a thread about this; I couldn't find one. Show some pics if you have done this.

 

I guess if I were to off road, I leave it close to stock since I like how the truck looks

 

I have a 4Xinnovations front bumper, so I had to get rid of the air dam.

 

I took mine off after arriving home. It looks ridiculous in my opinion, even if you don't plan to offroad with the truck.

 

Do you need peer support for this decision?

 

Nope. Just a curiosity, that all.

 

Took mine off after about a month and close to 2k miles. Looks better IMO, and I didn't notice any difference in mpg. Try it out, if you don't like it, you can always slap it back on.

 

I've removed mine just long enough to see what affects it has. What i noticed right away was more wind noise. Then a few weeks later i consistently got about a 1.3 mpg fuel mileage less. Right now it's back on...truck has less wind noise at 45 mph plus, and my fuel economy went back up. There's a reason toyota put it there. On the plus side with it removed, it will make getting the two front engine skid pan bolts off, and on much easier.

 

Mine has stayed on. Provides a little extra barrier for the undercarriage from the corrosive brine they use on the roads here in snow season.

 

For reference, here's mine with the chin strap still on.
I def prefer without it.

 

Left mine on. I'd probably remove it if I ever get a skid plate.

 

Looks better without. Removed mine after 6 months of ownership when upgrading wheels and tires

Took it off the first week of ownership.

 

OFF. No difference in noise or MPG for me, but it’s your truck do what you want.

 

My 22 offroad didn't come with one

Removed when I got my skid plate. Looks better and didn’t notice a difference in wind noise or mpg.

 

OR and Pro don’t come with them so take the whole loss of gas mileage with a grain of salt.
