After some aggravating discussion to get my trucks tsb's done, it's at the dealer right now. Curious how many miles after update have u put on it and is it still running correctly.

    The replies will be interesting.

FWIW I hope these TSBs satisfy those that were hoping for something a bit better out of the OEM calibrations, and that the improvements do not change/degrade over the long run.

For those that remain happy either way, right on

I’d love to know this as well!

I’m going in for my 50,000 mile Oil change and having them flash this (if they will) to see if it helps mine out as well. I’m in Colorado regularly at high altitude and it does indeed stumble when you go wot trying to get this thing up to speed on a highway. Even more so if you’re trailering at high altitude with a NA V6. Gotta give it gas to make it go.

But even here in flat Kansas it’ll stumble crossing a 4 lane highway. Not quite as much in S1 if it’s revved up a bit beforehand bit still annoying.

Ok so I've had the stumble issue in fourth gear since about 500 miles. I took it in today and they did tsb 0058-18. It said it was just for 16-17. I said well I'm telling you mine is a 18 and it does the same shit. It was made in January of 2018. They just called and told me they did the 58 but not the 62. So I pick it up this evening after work and see how it does. I'll post updates. Praying this is over and not gonna come back like last time when I reset the learning computers.

But they are the same calibration IDs. Sounds like they didn't do it. Also I think theirs a revision that includes MY18 now.

After the updates yesterday still wasn't running like I would have hoped. Hooked it up to Techstream and cleared both learning ecu's. Seems to be running a lot better. Does go quickly through first 3 gears. Hoping it doesn't go back to it's bad habits. Leaving on a road trip this evening so we will see.

So dropped my truck off for its 10K service and told them I wanted the tranny and stumble TSB - guy kept telling me "we don't tell them what TSB to perform - you have to tell me what it is doing" so I did - right now I have zero confidence that the TSBs will get done. How do you tell if they got done or not? What's the magic words that guarantee it will be done? Can these be downloaded and installed via Techstream?

I had 0062-18 applied earlier this week and have put around 150 miles on the truck so far since the update. I was previously experiencing the stumble at WOT, surging from 40-50, and just a general dead-pedal feeling in the first 30% of the pedal going over 55 mph.

Since having the update applied I can confidently state that all of these problems have been resolved. Stumble is gone, can't re-create it since the update after being able to do it consistently enough to make it dangerous before. The surging went away and it's super smooth between 40-50. But the best part is the dead pedal feeling above 55 mph is finally gone. I can cruise on the freeway and apply minor pressure to the pedal, and the truck actually holds it's speed or can speed up without having to downshift into 4th. Also noticed it uses 5th WAY more than it was previously in appropriate situations.

Good luck at your dealer, I had mine done no questions asked after simply referencing the TSB. Seems like other dealers are being far more strict around the update - but it's well worth putting up a fight over IMO.

I simply mentioned that I was experiencing the issues described in the TSB's and mentioned that I needed 58 and 62 done.

To be fair, it's all dependant on the service advisor or dealership you get, my advisor seem like she was a bit unknowledgeable and new to her job so that worked in my advantage when I implied I needed the update and she simply went ahead and typed up the papers for the technician lol.

This is my exact expeirence, to me the pedal deadzone was the worst part about it.

I had used ect to mitigate it but it's better than old ect imo and also doesn't hold the rpms too high in city driving(40-50mph) so save ya gas in the long run.

If u plug in a decent one scan tool it will show u what calibration you have. This is my old calibration.

Are the TSBs the same or different? I’m going to get this done at the dealer tomorrow and need to know if I need both 58 and 62 done or just 62? Some people are saying the lu are the same, others say they are different and both were applied. Really want to get this straight before I plead my case with the dealer tomorrow.

All I can tell you is that I referenced both TSB's and they applied both as far as I know, they are separate.

Apparently they both show as the same update ID on the vehicle though but I am not entirely sure 62 contains 58's improvements or viceversa.

So just took it on a 500 miles trip since tsb's. Ran like shit till I cleared learning computer on tranny. Since then 500 miles of damn near perfect shifting. No lugging. Had about 500 lbs in the bed and 5 people in the truck. Got average of 24.5 mpg on the trip. Power seems to be a lot better than before. Hope it stays like this.

How do you clear the tranny? I am planning on getting my tsb done tomorrow and would like to know how to do this preemptivly. Also can you describe “running like shit”? What was it doing? Trying to compare symptoms.

Does disconnecting the truck battery reset the tranny learning without wipingbout the update?

I'm taking my 2018 in on Wednesday for its 5000 mile service and I'm going to ask for both. Hopefully this fixes the awful shifting at highway speeds and the hesitation when trying to accelerate. I know I'm tired of 5th gear not being used and I've had some sketchy moments trying to turn at red lights in traffic.
