I just passed 120k and realized how surprised I am that I’m still on the original clutch. I’ve smoked the clutch more than I’d like to admit to out on the trails and I do a substantial amount of city driving in D.C. Admittedly part of me wants this clutch to go bad so I can get a heavy flywheel and get rid of the hot spot shudder I get when the clutch is cold. Anyways, the thought got me curious how everyone else’s clutch is holding up

    Not a lot compared to you , 41 k on my 19 sport .
Stunk it up a few times , backing it up a steep driveway , to exactly place
My too short tow straps for stump removals .
My pedal , hydraulic cylinder etc. were tsb changed @22 k .
It’ s been the best clutch set up i have ever owned .
Truth be told i’ve owned a lot of junk cars , present company excluded .
My fair weather only ,tacos stable mate is a 5 speed 04 mach 1 , 44 k on that one?
The 3650 Tremec is shifted by an unassisted cabled clutch , it makes the
Tacos clutch and synchros feel like butter .

Only 51,000 on mine. Interested to see if the 3rd gen clutches last as long (or longer?) than the earlier clutches. @Sep1911, happy to see yours has made it to 120K. I've smoked mine a couple of times too--and I have no idea how it was treated before I bought it at 30k miles.

I had a 2001 2RZ base Tacoma I sold at 248K miles on original clutch. Current rigs are 133K for the 2004 2RZ Base Tacoma, 170K on the 2000 3RZ 4Runner, both original clutches. Planning on replacing the 4Runner clutch in the next few months, getting some chatter when cold.

213,000 on my 07 2.7 4wd.I can't make up my mind whether to go ahead and replace the clutch or wait. My 1991 4cyl went to 235,000 before it went out. I am getting a little antsy. It hasn't showed any signs of slipping or anything. The throw out bearing has been rattling since 100,000 or so, but my 91 did the same thing and lasted until the clutch started slipping.

2010 clutch was replaced at 20k under warranty by original owner. I replaced the clutch myself around 200k still had about half life on the original clutch disk but most of those miles were highway and it didn't see any offroading till I got it.

Point being miles isn't a very good determining factor.

You can be a pro stick driver and use up a clutch doing everything right in 10k miles if they're all pulling a trailer in stop and go up hill or whatever.

At 118k on my 2016 4 cyl with the original clutch, no signs of slippage yet. Glad to see this thread, thought I was the only one.

255,854 miles on original clutch. pedal is a little low and engagement squeaks a little sometimes. Master and slave cylinder original too. Master leaks occasionally on floor mat, but not enough to warrant replacement. Bleeder on slave is probably too rusted to work. Tranny still shifts fine with original gear oil still in it. If clutch needs replaced while I own it master and slave will be replaced at same time, and new gear oil in tranny.

Around 165k on my 2013. And aside from some shuddering when it's real cold it's holding up great. Like you I'm waiting for it to go bad so I can put a heavyweight flywheel in.

I got out of the original 160,000 and it started slipping. Loving the new clutch / heavy flywheel very much now.

55K on my first. 75K on my current one, but it has started to slip. I will need to replace it soon before any damage occurs to the flywheel. I've owned and driven a lot of manual since the mid 80s and this is by far the worst clutch (or pressure plate) I've ever experienced.

Recently got a 2007 4WD 5MT. It's got about 145,900 on it. Clutch seems fine and good to see these reports of high mileage.
