How many keys come with new Taco?

Just bought my OR DCSB + Tech pack today.

Received two little key fobs, with a slide-out key built-in that opens the tailgate.
Also received one bigger key, that also opens the tailgate.

Did the dealer give me all the keys that are supposed to come with it? they seemed a bit clueless.

Just checking.

 

I got two one has the bigger key and one just the fob. I bought TacoAzul with 15K however.

 

Yup, you got the correct number of fobs and keys.

 

Yes, you get two smart keys. The 16 Tacoma’s with the smart key came with a tailgate key because the doors were keyed different than the tailgate. Someone must of cut an extra big key for your truck for the tailgate, so you go an extra one

 

Or the extra is the valet key?

 

Only for 2016, the big key on 17 and up is the same as the pull out key from the fobs.

 

That’s what I said, the 2016 the key is different. And I don’t remember getting a valet key with my truck. I’ll have to look
