How many gallons to paint ?

hey hows it, quick question how many gallons etc.. would it take to paint my whole truck 2005 Toyota Tacoma access cab? its black sand pearl, I was just going to repaint it the same color or maybe magnetic gray, would that be too much?

 

You should be able to get it done with a gallon of base coat and a gallon of clear. It's been a few years since I've painted a car (like 35 years) but a gallon generally covered a car with two good coats.
We used DuPont enamel so we didn't clear coat, back in the day.

 

A gallon will do it. You’ll need the correct reducer/activator. If this is the first time you’ll be painting, check out Kevin Tetz on YouTube, etc. Prep is the key.
