Hi. I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma step side. I’m getting conflicting information on how many catalytic converters are on my truck. Could someone Please set the record straight? I am Not savvy in the world of truck parts and could use your help.
    Thank you!

The conflicting info is due to the fact that there are two catalytic converter configurations which are based on whether you have an Inline 4 cylinder engine or a V6.

And you haven't told us which one you have.

Ok got it. I did not know that was important information. But different mechanics did.
    It’s a V6
    Thank you

I have a 2000 Tacoma with Federal emissions and the v-6 and it only has one cat. California and Federal emissions might also be different in 2001.
