How long has Barcelona Red Metallic Been on 3rd Gen?

Barcelona Red Metallic (Paint Code 3R3) was first introduced on the Tacoma for the 2nd Gen back in 2006. This color replaced Red Mica Metallic, which was a stunning color on the 1st Gen Tacoma. Toyota, to this day, still offers this color 16 years later for the Tacoma

Fantastic site for paint codes by model and year, as well as brochures and everything else you can think of.

 

The reason I asked: law enforcement is looking for the culprits on a break-in with this vehicle in the security footage.

I say it's a 3rd generation Tacoma SR5 in Barcelona Red Metallic with a 6' bed and blackout emblems. Not a lot of them around with 6' beds from what I've seen in our neck of the woods. I'm wondering if the DMV could narrow down the search.

Any other crime-stopping ideas? (Of course the vehicle could be stolen!)

 

DMV may be able to search the VIN 4th digit for a “B” or “D” which should be a Long Bed (see PDF). DMV should also know the color. Good luck.
