I just got new tires. The shop broke one of the TPMS sensors but replaced free of charge. I don't have any warning lights on. I don't see the tire pressure yet. I've only driven about 4 miles so far.

How long do I need to drive to see the pressure?

Did they get OEM Toyota sensors, if not you need to, or they may not be compatible.
Then you can reset the system.

Owner's manual tells you how it's easy.

You may need to visit another tire store that is familiar with the system,
they WILL reset thing and check it with a handheld device, did your shop do this?

It should read within a mile of normal driving.

^^^^^….stock sensors here. The pressures are on the screen within a 1/4 mile when I start driving.

Some aftermarket sensors only clear the light, but won't show the pressure in the cluster.

It should show after 10 minutes of driving. Give it the weekend to be sure.

Really? So only OEM tire sensors will read the tire pressure?

No, but you need specific "Dual Channel" tpms sensors that can send the proper signal.

are you saying that the light will clear but won't actually display pressure? this sounds like a safety issue that should trigger a check light.

Pressure readings isn't a safety concern, the light will still come on when the pressure drops.

I don't know if it was an OEM sensor. When I first got the truck back on Tuesday, I had a TPMS light on. I made an appointment to come back on Saturday (today). I don't know what all they did but I do know they had the tire pulled off the wheel. I no longer have the TPMS light on. I did hold the reset button just to make sure it was working. I got the normal flashing indicator. Now I'm just waiting for it to sync up.

It needs to be driven ,... sometimes it will read within a minute or two if parked, I think.
    Never tried that.

RESETTING YOUR TOYOTA TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT
Once you properly inflate your tires, your Toyota Corolla or Toyota RAV4 Tire Pressure Light should automatically shut off, but if it remains on, here are few more things you can do to reset your Tire Pressure Monitoring System:

    • Drive at or above 50 mph to reset the sensor for 10 minutes. This can cause your sensor to reset the next time you turn on the car.
    • With the vehicle off, turn the key to the “On” position, but don’t start the car. Hold the TPMS reset button until the tire pressure light blinks three times, then release it. Start the car and wait 20 minutes for the sensor to refresh. The tire pressure monitor reset button is usually located beneath the steering wheel. If you can’t find it, check the user’s manual.
    • Inflate all tires to 3 PSI over their recommended amount, then deflate them completely. Be sure to include the spare tire, as it may have a sensor as well. Once they’re all deflated, reinflate to the recommended tire pressure.
    • With the vehicle off, disconnect the positive battery cable with a wrench. Turn the car on and honk the horn for about three seconds. This will discharge any power still stored in the vehicle. Then reconnect the battery.

That only resets the psi threshold for deflation...nothing to do with the pressure display.

Did not. I did a little freeway driving but still nothing. I had the tires installed at NTB. I hate trying to deal with this shit. I'm not really sure how to address this since I don't technically have a check light on.

My money would be on them forcing a cloned I.D. on an aftermarket tpms.

According to this guy(@17:00), no programming necessary when you replace them with the correct genuine Toyota sensors.
The whole video is worth a watch. It might give you better insight on how to proceed.

May need to go to a major tire place to get this corrected.
    Obviously NTB did something(s) wrong.

Drop by a place, explain how "another store" screwed up your system and ask:
"Do you guys know what the correct sensors are, and can you fix my problem? Because I need a new place to get me services done."

Your outta there in 30 min, FIXED and now two people are happy.
NTB however may not get a Christmas card this year......

    SUCCESS!!!

The sensor was fine. I opened up tech stream and saw that the wheel positions were stuck in "judging" status. I may have automatically found the wheel positions on its own if I continued to drive but I manually set them and the pressure instantly appeared.

There was a little guess work trying to figure out which tire was which. By adding/removing air, it was simple to figure it out.
