I've had the truck 6 days & the door notifications are driving me insane. I know my driver door is open, I'm talking to someone. I know my doors are unlocked, truck is locked in my garage. Besides all these annoyances, what good is it? I have no interest of locking or unlocking or starting via the app. What am I missing here? If I delete the app will the truck get depressed & go into limp mode?

Lol, no shame in deleting the app.

Or just turn off notifications via your phones settings.

    1. Open the Toyota app and sign in
    2. Tap on the account menu in the top right of your screen
    3. Tap on "Account"
    4. Tap on "Notification Settings"
    5. Enable/disable to your heart's desire

I think the starting through app is the only useful feature of it. I'm glad my SR isn't even eligible to be connected to this whole "app" thing.

Dealer set up the app, phone, etc. Now the app won't let me open it, I probably screwed up the password but the notifications keep on coming. I'm terrible at this stuff (I'm old) so I'll run by dealer in morning & have him mess with it.
Does this app do anything else?

I pressed the SOS button and manually canceled everything. Having MT, none of those features are useful.

I had the app until my one year free shit ran out. Worst remote start app on the market, not worth paying for. My coworker has an f150 and we're at an event. Whips out his phone turns his truck on, adjusts the AC, good to go. I turn mine on, pray i left the ac on

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
    Didn't want it.
Didn't care even if the first year was free.
Never installed it on my phone.
Unlike many people today, I do not live through my cell phone.

I turned off door open/close notifications immediately. WTF is the purpose of those anyway.

I keep the app because of remote start and it warns me if i actually left a door unlocked after i've left my vehicle for about 2 minutes.

I kept the app on my phone but didn't pay after the first free year. I log maintenance in it now.

I don't have notifications for any app turned on. Just my ringer on the phone.

I keep it around because… why not? Turn off the notifications if they bother you but an icon buried a couple of pages deep on my Home Screen has never bothered me.

I occasionally use the remote start and once or twice I’ve used it to check tire pressure when the girlfriend has taken it somewhere and text me with a “I hit a pothole pretty hard”.

Im about to delete it cause my trial is almost up. Gonna check and see what things it will let me monitor for free first though. Its been a pretty handy app. I live where there is either a parking lot or street parking so making sure my shit was locked was nice. Remote start was good for thawing it in the winter while i was getting ready for work

It comes with fabulous and exciting bonus notifications. Cost thousands of dollars in cash. Of course when I drive slow down the highway it tells me I’m an excellent driver.

Never had it, once I got the truck I pushed the button and cancelled everything else too.
