Make sure you put your actual VIN in the URL.
Pretty sure this won't work on mobile OS. You'll need to be at a computer.

I don't get exactly what you get, but I do get enough to see it's on hold. Hopefully I won't need to bug Rod03 anymore.

    Thank you

Mine is a QC hold also and when I was checking the vspec today I noticed it now says "Port Installed Packages & Accessories". I didn't remember seeing that before so I went back and checked the pdf version the dealer shared with me after I put my deposit in and confirmed it wasn't in there. Adding up the options on the vspec the cost for the Predator Step Tubes and All-Weather Floor Liners and Door Sill Protectors equals the total for what shows up as port installed accessories now. Are these port installed accessories a possible reason for the QC hold?

Here's the snippet from what my dealer sent me as a pdf when I put my deposit in back in May which showed only "Factory Installed Packages & Accessories":

Here's the vspec as it is today with some of the Factory options split out and listed as Port Installed Packages & Accessories:

I am waiting on delivery of a Tacoma that was my 5th choice. Back in mid December I placed an order, (request?) and in later April the dealer told me it wasn't going to happen, then offered up my 5th choice. I keep watching around the country, and my first choice appeared on a website of a dealer 90 miles away. I called, "yes, it is available, where do you live?" I tell her the Twin Cities, 90 miles away. She told me they wouldn't sell to me because I am not a local customer. She said I live just a little too far. I am at the point of saying, "screw it." and cancelling the current vehicle somewhere in freight status, who knows how many weeks of months away, and just keep the 2014 access cab which has been good to me.

You might have luck checking their website. A bunch of dealers use automated posting and a truck with your identical specs will show up if so.

I’ve been lurking on this site for a while (mostly researching before I buy) but wanted to share my experience at Rodland today. I found a vehicle that I wanted on their website this morning and contacted them to verify that it was still available. After confirming, I used the Toyota SmartPath program through the dealer website to get a price quote and begin the purchase/reservation process. I then brought my SmartPath quote to the dealer and was informed by Ran, one of their sales managers, that they wouldn’t be honoring the price I was quoted and the real price was going to be $6k higher (due to their mandatory dealer installed “premium protection package”). I pointed out to the gentleman that while this premium protection package charge was listed on my itemized quote, it was also clearly canceled out on the very next line by a “dealer adjustment”. He wouldn’t budge though and reiterated that they would not honor the price they quoted me. Very shady sales tactics that I don’t think anyone would appreciate.

I reported my experience to Toyota corporate and hopefully they’ll address the issue with this dealer. Curious if anyone else has had a similar issue using SmartPath?

Didn't even know of it honestly, but looking up the newsroom blurb gave me:
Sounds like it's something that dealers have to opt-in to use. I'd try another dealer if you want to use it.

I'm part of the mysterious and growing QC Hold crew at Chicago. According to my salesman, all new incoming Toyota vehicles have been "held", at least at my dealership. According to a Toyota rep, my Tacoma's delivery delay is a dealership issue. My guess is that there a large batch of Tacomas at Chicago with missing parts.

I was told when I picked up my truck (March 18th 2022) that all the trucks sold from then on will be sold with the BS add on from the dealer. I was informed I was the last one not to have that as part of my deal. They did try when I put down my deposit in January but I said no and they said OK. Sorry it wasn’t the same experience as I had. I have a feeling that truck sales will be dropping due to fuel prices.

What state you in? I wasn't able to get locked-in to an allocation on mine till April 23rd and I don't have any "Protection Package" on mine.

Rodland is a terrible dealer, so that’s half the problem. I’ve almost bought vehicles from them a few times in the last 20 years but they always find some way to not honor deals or try and screw the customer. And yes, asking you to pay $6k for what amounts to ceramic coating and some paint protection film is standard up there in Everett. If you are in the Seattle area, Marysville and Burien are the more honest reliable dealers to deal with.

It was just at that dealership not for all Toyota Tacoma’s.

I had no problems at Rodland at all. Marysville is the next dealer I would try.
