How does this hood latch spring go back in?

    I was all pissed about wiring and removed the hood latch in a haste, now I don’t really remember how it goes back on. Anyone have a pic, sketch, or explanation?

    Man, I love this forum. Separated my hood latch from the lower dash trim today and the spring came flying out. Figured I could come here and find out how to to put it back together after messing with it for 15 minutes. Saw your post from over a year ago and had it back together in 2 minutes. Thanks for posting this picture, simple, but save me a bunch of time.
