I've never tried using a floor jack on anything but flat pavement. I can imagine when I do get a flat, I'll be on anything but that.

A floor jack is not ideal but if you have a relatively hard surface it'll work. I've changed several tires on gravel roads that were definitely not level. Chock the wheels and go to town.

In my truck I keep a bottle jack and a piece of wood. A Hi-Lift is pretty useless unless you have a place to jack from.

6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
Not to mention a good floor jack is heavy as shit to carry out of the bed of a lifted truck

To all the nay sayers about bringing a floor jack...they can be super useful and clearly you guys never worked under a truck doing trail repairs supported by a hi-lift. LOL

Most have custom cages with mounts...don't forget an extendable pad and a skid for it.

I don't go off-road, but I carry an aluminum floor jack in a Walmart plastic wheeled tote in the front of the bed. No need to tie it down. Bottle jacks for trucks should be outlawed.

I don't but my pal does. By far a floor jack off road I suggest 100% over a hi-lift. The use of a high lift carry's a lot of weight (no pun) and ive used them in all kinds of dynamics from come alongs to anchors. Anyhow, I suggest getting a Pro Eagle floor jack. As far as mounting, they offer many, many options for the Tacoma. Vist their site and CALL them. Yes, people still call. Lol. They're great and will suit whomever up with what you can imagine up.

I had a craftsman mounted in my tool box with a skid and mount from Kartek. I was there today and the Pro Eagle aluminum comes with a skid and extension, mount is extra. after the lt kit goes on that's next same way mounted to the tool box. Craftsman was easy to get out.

    Holy jacked threads!

OP , there are a few out there if you do some searches through the fab vendors. You may have a different jack so some may need modding.

Now you got me thinking about mine. Wheels are getting a bit chewy.
Flat mount would be much nicer to my blacktop driveway too. Under weight they sink 1/8"

I searched the images for "floor jack mount" and got lots of hits. Image indexing sometimes has more details than website indexing.
