how do you mount stuff to bed rails?

Shovel, recorvery boards. How to mount safely and inexpensively?

 

Search for diy axe shovel mount. I forget who but they have step by step directions with measurements and material list. Very helpful

You can use 3/4 inch carriage bolts.... just need to grind down 2 sides so it will slide into the bed rail. Matching nut or wing nut to the bolt.

Use your legs, and your thrust should come from the hips.

Not sure this has been covered already, but this old tv mounting bracket fit perfectly.

 

Quick and dirty. Piece of 1" ish steel from home Depot, strut nuts, and quick fists and some bolts. Only tools you need are a hacksaw or preferably grinder and a drill.

 

Basically the same as everyone else says. Rail mount + Quick Fists. I didn't make mine -- it was like $50 from Relentless:

If you aren't running a canopy, I would go with a shorter knob handle. The base of mine sits an inch or two proud.
These should work with Maxtrax too, if you put it through the holes on the edge. I appreciate that ARB put holes through the middle of their boards so you have more mounting options.
