I searched for threads on TW but everything else came up! The best idea I can come up with so far is a locking metal box that fits into the center console but that will eliminate any storage on top of it. Looking for suggestions. TIA

I have a Lifepod that lives under the driver's seat, however it really only gets used if I go somewhere I can't/don't want to carry. For example if I end up going to get a beer then I'll lock it up but otherwise it's on me. The Lifepod is pretty snug under there and I have to lift the adjustment bar to get it in and out so one of these days ill get some seat risers when I feel like coughing up a hundred bucks for them.

I agree not to leave in the truck, however they make behind the back seat storage that locks.

Never leave a pistol in your truck unattended. That's a perfect way for it to be stolen. Especially if you rock gun stickers on your truck

If I have to I lock in glove box if I have to run in a gun free zone for a short period of time and definitely feel bad if I forget it when in pot shop lol

    Let me rephrase

Never leave a firearm in your vehicle overnight and when getting out of your truck during the day and you're at a place that doesn't allow carry, check your surroundings before unloading and hiding it for a brief moment.

I live just outside a BIG City. Have an hour commute each way to work into the city. I go through several bad areas. I can not brig my firearm into work due to laws. I lock it up in the safe when in work. Then it is out on me during my commute. No issue here. Good on you guys who say never leave it in a truck if that is an option, but not always an option for everyone.

SORRY I should have specified for when I am traveling and don't want it on me while driving. Well, I might leave it unattended in a locked truck when I go to a restaurant or something but I wouldn't normally carry it with me ED.

I try not to leave a my gun in the truck, some times there is not other options, if that the case I hide it it in the cabin. That lifepod seems like a good deal for these situations.

Lifepod is awesome. Quick access if needed and it doesn't show on the site, but mine has a wire cable tether I wrap around the seat frame.
