i have been thinking about putting some in the tailgate, that will show them:D

i am always going 5-6 over and if someone is tailgating i will slow down and hit the brake enough to turn on the lights and if they continue then i will slow all the way down till they pass then i follow them with the brights.:D

Gotta be careful on the roads though, when I first got to Virginia a couple months ago a driver that had been tailgating me, got pissed off at me and tried to break into my truck at a stoplight.

What really gets to me is drivers who don't accelerate on an on ramp to a 70mph highway, they crawl and almost cause accidents by merging so slow. Another thing here in NC the school buses can only go about 50 mph, this really slows things down unnecessarily

Thats my #2 pet peeve on the road aside from slow drivers in the left lane. People do that all the time here in GA. I don't understand how they expect to go from 40mph to 70mph at the blink of an eye. I guess we should just get rid of onramps and let people take off from a dead stop to 70mph since thats what everyone seems to do.

On the exit I live on if you are going south (575 south from Exit 20 to exit 19 for those that live around here) the onramp right lane continues on to the next exit so people don't have to merge. Well the speed limit is 70mph in that stretch and people tend to think because they are just getting off at the next exit, they only need to go 40mph. They forget about the drivers behind them who are trying to merge into the 70+mph traffic.

It is a pet peeve of mine to get get tailgated, if they are being a jerk about it and its night ill let them by and when they get around ill turn on my light bar (rigid industries) and follow them for awhile. It always lights their whole vehicle up. Im waiting on my rear light so i can just turn that bad boy on haha.

I drive at least the speed limit, keep right on multilane highways and will pull over to let traffic pass on a two lane road, so anyone tailgating me is just an asshole. If I'm tailgated I keep my speed steady and let the other driver worry about it.

I slam on the breaks. If my family is with me i'll tap the break so the jerk gets the picture. If I'm alone, especially in my jeep, I lock that shit up!

It scares the hell out of em.

Also, someone on here mentioned that know of a story of someone getting shot or someone trying to get into their vehicle after them...That's why i have a concealed carry permit and always have my pistol on me.

If someone comes at me with that shit, I'm splittin their wig.

I know that may sound harsh however, you never know what these jerks are capable of these days.

So here is what you need for the tail gaters, a small box filled with pea gravel that you can dump in-front of the rear tire. This will cause a shit load of dents and dings, i am sure they would back of then. Here in Montana, there is shit loads of gravel on the roads, so i always swerve to the center or outside lane and it kicks up a bunch of dust and gravel, they hit there breaks real quick then. I can not stand tail gaiters.

it's bad.....the other day A mini cooper was so close to me (doing 75mph on the beltway) that I copuldn't even see the roof in the rear view. I only knew there was a car there because i could see a glow from their headlights just creeping over the tailgate. they were no more than a coupole feet off my bumper.

foilded my plan too, they were so close that my rear facing lights actually went right over their roof.

I like to to hold the brake pedal just enough so that the brake lights come on. It makes the person riding your ass extremely uncomfortable. Every time I do this I can see in my mirror them backing off. It's kind of like when your following an old lady and she is riding her brake the whole time and it just pisses you off. Thats the feeling I hope they get when I do it to them.

Tailgaters......hmmm, I'm rollin 10 over most anywhere I go except school zones so I'm not havin any of that shit. If they wanna do 100 then just fucking wait, I'll move over when I won't be trapped behind slower douchebag traffic. If they are just being asswipes then I'll play... run over debris, hide holes or traffic until too late for them, ride on shoulder and let tires throw rocks or water or mud at them, brake check, use manual tranny to gear down without any brake light warning, drive slower until they want to pass then change lanes on them.....basically whatever the situation calls for. Of course I'm not drivin in fast lane except to pass, am always doing speed limit at least & not jacking with others for the fuck of it nor being jacked with for the fuck of it either. Much more fun in the truck dealing with asshats of this type.........Bright lights behind me do nothing, my rear window tint defeats that nonsense & side mirrors can be pointed back to tailgater if they wanna play long enough.

Well I usually let them pass and when they do I give them a little tailgating of my own. Most little low cars wish they didn't when they see my HID's flashed blasting the chrome off their mirrors lol.

    This is so smart.

And I serriously think Houston has some of the worst drivers ever. Like i have seen so many people do that, and then they get pissed off when i hit my horn. It's a damn yield sign not a stop sign!

I think louisiana is way worse. People stop in places that stay "DO NOT STOP" or I've had people come to a stop when trying to merge on the interstate.

And as far as tailgaters. I don't usually have people get on my butt cause I'm usually running as fast or a little faster than everyone else. But when I do I try my best to just get out of their way by getting over immediately or speeding up to pass the cars I'm trying to pass then get over.

I don't ride someones butt unless they are driving way under the speed limit, they pull out in front of me and drive slow, or I just accidentally get to close and not realizing it. It pisses me off when someone brake checks me, because I don't do it to anybody else. When someone brake checks me I suck up on they ass even closer.

Yeah im usually like 5 or 10 above, and if someone is still tailgating me, i either just slow down and then speed up as they try to pass or lightly brake check so they get the point.

Back in the old days I had a 1957 Ford convertable. I lived an a rural area with two-lane roads, so tailgaters were common. I usually had a buddy riding shotgun, and when some asshole started kisssing my bumper, we swung into action. I carried an empty Coke bottle in the seat and we would take turns lifting the bottle and taking big swigs of air, and at the same time start I'd start swerveing around. This never failed to get a tailgater to back off--and I mean way off.

Once in a blue moon I'll hit the breaks. However, I usually feel like a tool after I get home and I start thinking about the accident I could have caused. Usually, I'll just make sure that I have plenty of room between me and the car in front so that I don't have to make a sudden stop. If it's a four lane hwy. (two each way), I usually accelerate and pull to the right when passing. If I'm driving down the hwy. with cruise control on and I come up behind a slower car, I always accelerate and pass quickly and then pull back to the right lane and resume my cruise control speed.

Thing that pisses me off the most is when some ass is going about a 1/4 mile/hour faster than the car in the right lane with their cruise control on and they pull into the left lane to pass but don't accelerate and it takes 5 minutes to pass the car in the right lane!!!! WTF .... just accelerate and pass the car you MF!!!!

    :D
