How do I remove this steering column plastic?

I’m trying to wire a remote start and can I get this plastic off. I looked for screws and couldn’t see any, I pulled on it but don’t want to break the plastic. Couldn’t find anything helpful online either

 

Turn the steering wheel and there should be 2 screws you need to take out behind the steering wheel

 

Done but how to I get the top and bottom half disconnected

I got the sides off but it’s stuck towards the front and signal switch

 

Harbor freight has a cheap set of trim tools I used when installing my intermittent wiper switch. Made loosening those clips a breeze.

 

I’m in Canada but I’ll look around for trim tools.


Edit: found some that I’ll get from princess auto

 

i usually just push the top part and pull it till it seperates, it wont fully come off, just push back towards the dash. And to actually seperate it i just use a trim tool or flathead with electrical tape over the end in a pinch.

 

Tilt the wheel up or down.

There may be a single screw on the bottom as well.
