How do I mount a generic awning on Yakima Core Bar roof rack?

Hello everyone,

I have the Yakima Core Bar roof rack on my '21 Tacoma. I would like to get and mount the SAMOUT 6.6' x 10' awning from Amazon to put on the truck.

In looking at the hardware, it seems that it won't fit onto the Yakima Core Bar system. The hardware seems to be a simple bar, bent to a 90 degree angle, and drilled with several holes for mounting.

Does anyone have a work-around or other solution? I suppose I could drill into the bars, but am looking for other methods, first.

Maybe use Yakima mighty mounts on the ends of the bars?
