Next warm weekend all this is getting installed, then 34" (285/75R17) Falken WildPeak tires.
When I bought my truck is had leveling pucks on it that I assume are about 2" of lift in front.
Now that I am going to install a lift kit I don't have a reference measurment (starting point). Since the C/O are ment for 2" and much beyond that the down travel/droop gets to small I want to traget that 2 inches of lift from factory.
Is there an average measurement for center of wheel/hub to fender for the front of 3rd Gens?
Or can a few people that are stock height tell me what they measure? (center of hub/wheel to botom of fender well)

Don't know if this helps since I have an SR5 4x4. I've got exactly 21 inches from center of wheel cap to top edge of wheel well on both sides on stock suspension and 16 inch wheels.
I think TRD's have different suspensions and wheel size though so you may want to get numbers from those guys. Good luck with the install!

22 inches on 3rd gen im pretty sure is the center hub measurement for stock. Im sitting at 23.5 on my second gen with a 2.5 inch lift and they came an inch shorter from factory so mine was 21.

Thank You - I think that matches something I found on Toy Tech's site that says 23 inches for 2" lift. Thanks for posting - seems like I am looking for ~ 23 inches.

21" is a pretty "standard" front height center of hub to fender measurement for 3rd gen. sS yes 23" would be a 2" lift. Hub to fender measures are immune to wheel and tire size, so you can't go wrong measuring that way.

As others have said, 23" is about right. I'll be curious how the 34's fit with a 2" lift!

All 3rd Gen Tacoma's have the same suspension height front and rear, regardless of trim. With the one exception of the TRD Pro being 1" higher in the front only. The rear is exactly the same as any other trim.

Every gal I ever dated was eventually convinced this was 6 inches.... so... 2 inches is whatever you want it to be...

Well at least you got the lift before the tires, good plan.

Andrew - I have done a body mount chop and went with SPC UACs to hopefully push the tires forward a bit. With the chop it looks like I have about 1.5 inches, since I have 32s already (265/70R17) the radius is going to increase ~ 1.1 inches when going to 285/75R17 tires. So I hope I will be OK.
I actually don't think that 2 or 3 inch lift makes a difference - you will still travel up and down about the same, so a 3 in lift will rub the same as 2 in lift unless you really reduce up travel.
Time will tell if it is worth it.

I hope they fit as well! I’ve got the SPC UCA’s as well, they are great. I know there are folks that still get rubbing with 285/70/17’s especially off-road with 2” lifts. All depends on the offset of the wheel I think.

hmmm - you are making re-think it then. An addition 1/2 inch ground clearance isn't worth the hassel of rubbing and having to re-do a body mount chop or relocation.
    Thanks for the info!
