I am going to look at a 1998 Tacoma v6 automatic on Sunday. It's supposed to be a trd with a locker. How do I tell if it really has an elocker just by looking?
    Thanks

    4 run, 2 don't
The dash, to the left of the steering column.

    Can't miss it.

I hope that's not your focus as the frame is the most important thing to look for.

    Look for the electronic actuator.

Tell him to show you how to turn it on.

If he turns a radio dial he's pulling your toes.

Make sure to inspect for frame rust. Research on here about it.

Here’s a visual, but you can’t just look at it. You want to make sure it functions properly.
Be stopped or driving slow under 5 mph in 4 lo,click locker button (dash blinks) start or continue to drive slow in a straight line, you might hear a slight click and boomm dash light goes solid and your locked. Smile cuz your e locker actuator functions properly. Click button hear another click and dash light goes away.

@Fuergrissa forgot to mention it needs to be in 4lo. That is unless the previous owner did the grey wire mod.
