How bad is 116t!?

    So I bought 265/75r16 116t tires for my Tacoma to off road a little bit but I just read that the 116t is only for a temp spare am I screwed?!

    Where did you read that? 116T. First part is load rating, second part is speed rating. I am still on stock Bridgestones, which are a 110S. Which is less load and speed rating. You really need to look at how many plys the tire has. Go spend some time studying on tirerack.

    116 = Load Index: Numeric value for the maximum load the tire can safely support.

    T = Speed rating: Most passenger rated tires for Trucks and SUVs will fall under S, T or H.

    In both cases, these ratings are completely safe fitments for your truck.
